best park we've ever been to. They had multiple activities for the dogs, several agility props. I also really liked that they had a separate small fenced in cage for dogs that needed a brief time out. What a wonderful idea.
This was my second time out. The park looks nice. There is a slight slope to the land which one should know about if you have some mobility issues. There is an entrance in the cannery parking lot which may be easier to get in and out of. The park has water buckets half buried all around which is great. There is a small pavilion with a bench and other benches in shaded areas. The best part by far is the obstacle course. It is a great way to engage your dog(s) so they tire mentally not just physically. Also it seems folks have left rackets and balls to really get those pups moving.nThe negatives are people not picking up of course. Also, people not keeping an eye on their dog(s). Two people left the gated area while their pets were inside. That makes me uncomfortable in general although these dogs didn't bat an eye. And lastly, there are quite a few bag boxes around the perimeter but both times I've gone at least one box was out so BYOB!!nMy standard are slightly skewed as my bark park at home (Charlottesville) is literally attached to a lake and is fully shaded. But the lack of lake is nearly made up for by the obstacle course.nIf you are worried about too many folks there (Covid) you may want to try mid days or mid weeks.
The park is fine I guess but the people and dogs are fantastic. 100% recommend to anyone who is a new dog owner or nervous about going to a dog park, you will be welcomed with open arms and people are happy to give you tips if needed
I love this place, and more importantly so does my pup. Great group of dogs and their humans who we've enjoyed getting to know this year.
Great people great dogs.. Always enjoy taking my dog here.
