This is a hidden gem in the Lynchburg area. After looking at dozens of wedding venues, my husband and I decided to have our wedding at Rockcliffe Farm. It was the best decision of our wedding plan. The property is in a lovely wooded spot with many amenities including hiking trails, access to the James River, and equipment for canoeing. The lodge was beautifully designed with a clean, peaceful, warm feel. Most importantly, the owners, Hugh and Joan are delightful! They worked outside of our wedding agreements to make our wedding perfect. They treated our guests and vendors with absolute kindness and respect. We had nothing but positive experiences and still hear positive feedback from our friends and families.nI recommend Rockcliffe for family vacations, group trips, and weddings.
Joan & Hugh are gracious hosts to Rockcliffe Retreat. A beautiful location with sundry activities in which to engage and explore this jewel on the historic James River. GREAT for group/family events and conferences at the lodge and a spectacular and remote campsite on the river. Swim, fish, paddle, chillax...it's all possible at Rockcliffe.
