White River West Sno-Park

Absolutely gorgeous views of Mt. Hood, endless parking for overnight campers. I think there was a sign that said sno park permit required, couldn't figure out how to get one on the spot so decided to risk it and wasn't bothered by anybody. Slept peacefully in my car, there were multiple other overnight car/RV campersnnRestroom available but it's pit style, river flowing next to the parking lot.

Parking is plentiful and on clear days the view is spectacular. In winter you need a sno park permit. A great place to sled, Snowshoe, and bring the family (including dog) to enjoy snow!

Pretty cool spot, can definitely get crowded. Parking lot can be difficult to navigate through. The area also has a good amount of traffic when heading out. For the most part it’s pretty dry, don’t necessarily need chain or 4x4 to get to this part. Might be a lot of slush and water built up in the parking lot. Definitely a family spot to hang out.

Great place for snow tubing and sledding. Restroom is in the place. Very busy on Saturday. Some snow hills are not good for little kids and maybe traumatic. But variety is pretty good. Mount Hood view is gorgeous!

Very nice area to spend a day or may be couple of hours! Kids are sure to have a blast with tubing, sledding and playing with snow.nnFor social distancing, its possible to walk up the valley a bit a find a relatively empty area, and even on busy Saturdays we were able to find less crowded sections to maintain social distance.
