Beautiful place. Tons of mosquitoes but enjoyed our stay. Road was a bit bumpy in spots but overall doable for a bigger trailer
$5 to camp, pretty good sites ... Water looked rusty color. Didn't see hiking trails but you could try scrambling to the tops of the many Rock outcrops. Cows in campground, not sure why, seems like they are trapped. Saw a big bull moose.
Campground is easy to find, has 2-3 outhouses that seemed clean enough, and has several spots for both tent and camper camping. Nightly fee was $5. Did not pay attention to the picnic area use fee, but the picnic area did seem pretty nice. Bear containers are located throughout the grounds, and every spot has a fire pit and a picnic bench with concrete tops and metal legs. There were tons of mosquitoes and flies where we camped as the area is very lush and it was mid July, so that comes with the territory.
Great spot to camp! Lots of sites to choose from. Lots of bear proof equipment. Toilets. And great hikes around the area.
