Love the snow capped mountains in the foreground of our walk this afternoon. Beautiful Montana scenery!

This is the Butte end of a terrific walking & bike trail that wanders west along side the now almost recovered SilverBow Creek. Currently the trail skirts the edge of Rocker (parking & restrooms) crosses under I15 (no access) arrives at Silver Bow (parking & restrooms), and after crossing the railroad tracks on rough road, heads west along the creek to Ramsey. From there cyclists can continue westward on country roads until barriers stop you just before a new bike path will (in a year or so) guide you through the spectacular, newly recovered, Durante Canyon towards Fairmont Resort... and in the future, perhaps all the way to Warm Springs.

Nice parking lot for one of Butte's best walking trails.

this would have been a nice place to take a walk, if i had a gun or a big dog... im from out of town and had neither. LOTS of rif-raf hanging around!

I really like this area I like the fact that the trail continues on for miles, Perfect for bike riding all day long. There's a nice little creek runs all the way through it and then top it off it's next to the railroad tracks which my boys love.nThis weekend the creek was up on the trail underneath the bridge but it wasn't so deeply couldn't ride through it. I didn't realize this trailer so long because it's not even on Google Maps yet.nThe restrooms are a great addition to these trails and they're not the typical outhouse. The toilets are all completely metal but nothing a little sheet of toilet paper can't help.nWe happen to stop in the park and rocker which was nice for the boys. A pretty decent equipment including a basketball hoop for half court.nThe show itself was a little bit bumpy between Butte and rocker. But I'd still call this one my favorite walking trail.
