I dropped in on Imperial while I was in Butte for a few days, and had a fantastic experience! They clearly embrace the philosophy of treating everyone in the BJJ community with respect, regardless of affiliation or prior experience. I felt completely welcomed when I dropped in on their open mat, and learned a lot from both the rolling and technical discussions that followed. I came back for a weekday class a couple days later; not only was I very impressed by Mike’s focus on technical quality, but he gave me just as much time and attention as anyone else. Mike, Zach, and Jeff clearly love the art and love teaching, and that’s reflected in the way they conduct themselves and interact with people. I will definitely be back to train at Imperial next time I’m in Butte.

Incredible instructors, staff, and students. I didn't know anybody when I first walked in, and now I have 10+ new friends! Excellent training atmosphere: everybody is about improving themselves and others. No egos here and everything is earned. It's also significantly the least expensive bjj in town.

A great place to learn self defense! The staff is amazing, extremely helpfull, and patient! Everyone there is so helpful and kind, they just want to help you achieve the best that you can be. The stuff they teach actually works. You just have to do your part and there is no limit to what you can achieve.

I've trained everywhere in town and this place is where I've learned so much! What a great gym overall. I'd 5 stars all day long! Thank you for everything guys!

I love this place. It's my home away from home. The instructors are wholeheartedly invested in your success and you as a person, and have bred the most positive environment. They round it out by teaching some of the best brazilian jiu jitsu in the state. They are extremely affordable and you'll wonder why you haven't been training there your whole life. I highly, highly recommend this gym for anyone who has ever been interested in training martial arts, want to get active, or just has a desire to be in a team setting.
