Stayed here in early May and had no trouble finding an excellent camping site. We enjoyed this campground the most out of the others in the park. Also, important for late spring - there were far fewer mosquitoes.

Excellent spot for camping without a fee. Really enjoyed my time there. Just be careful bears frequent the area so don't eat where you sleep.

This is a beautiful lake, very quiet and peaceful. This is just the lower section of the Saint Mary lake, the lake as a whole is the second largest lake in Glacier National Park measuring at about 9.9 miles in length. It borders along the Going to the Sun Road with great views of it. A great lookout point is the Wild Goose Island.
