We stayed in the Curly Bear Cabin during our stay in St Mary to explore east GNP. This is a great spot as it is right across from the visitor center and a good midpoint if you plan on travelling up to Many Glacier or south to Two Medicine -- we did both and highly recommend it! The restaurant's food is pretty good and the staff was super friendly. We drove around the massive campground space and sites looked pretty nice with a variety of conditions. We really liked the Curly Bear Cabin, it was myself and my brother sharing one bed with our parents in the other, we all fit in nicely and we are adults. The mini cabins offer a nice sense of privacy compared to a hotel room, and they get great views of the sunrise and sunset because of its location on the hill. Love the porches with the rockers, too, and awesome stargazing.

Johnson's of St. Mary was a wonderful place to stay! We made some of the greatest memories here and can't WAIT to get back!! The views are incredible and the people were so friendly!

My husband and I stayed in one of the cabins overlooking the area. It was absolutely gorgeous! It was well-appointed and spacious. The porch was beautiful! We ate at the restaurant several times. The food was so delicious! We are definitely returning!

Love this place! Their “special” soup was amazing, and came with every meal, served family style, and our whole family enjoyed it. Wait staff was all young and very friendly, they really took care of us well. I had their 178 burger and it was delicious! It was so large I had to use a fork to eat it. The homemade bread it was served on was great. We also had a grilled chicken Caesar salad, which was delicious, and their kids meals were very large.nThe absolute best part though was the old country music they played during our meal, Johnny Cash serenaded is as we ate, and it was awesome! The decor was also unique, but fitting to the area and the setting. Would come back anytime we’re in the area! Prices were excellent and servings large and delicious!

Had the special of the day which was Thanksgiving-style turkey dinner. My son had The Moose sandwich. I think the highlight for both of us was the soup and homemade bread. Hearty stuff. Next time I think we'll just have that. Did not have room for dessert, but it really looked amazing. Will definitely be back when we're next in the area.
