Yankee Fork Gold Dredge

Amazing!

Well preserved piece of Idaho history from when men and women were tough as nails, pay the $5.00 and get a glimpse of what it was like back then. Drive a mile or so up the road when you're done at the Dredge and visit Custer, if you're that close why wouldn't you it's awesome. On the way in or on the way out or both pay attention to the Bonanza Creek restoration. When you're in God's country stop and appreciate it you won't be disappointed.

It was so much fun coming out and seeing a little bit of Idaho history. It's fun for all ages especially if you are into history and how things were done in the past! The people helping with the tour were very informative and gave fun tidbits you wouldn't have known otherwise. If you have a chance I would definitely recommend making the trek out!

The dredge is still in great shape and the story of how it used to operate is fascinating. The volunteers are very knowledgeable/helpful. Recommend the tour to understand better how the gold/silver was mined and extracted. Must have been long hard shifts!nGlad we stopped by for a visit.

We took our children here to tour the dredge and it was well worth it! Kent was the volunteer that taught us about the dredge and he did an outstanding job! He was very patient with our children asking questions, even if he had already covered the questions. He was very knowledgeable and personable. He made the tour extra special. We learned a lot from Kent. We even went back the next day to purchase some books in the gift shop and talk to him a bit more. If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll be sure to come back by the dredge.
