Such a beautiful place to camp. Except for the park ranger whom I found not too friendly. One lady gave us a citation for leaving a little bit of food out on the table during the day. If we left the food out at night we can understand. At least gave us a verbal warning.n$300 ticket definitely took the joy out of our camping trip.
Great place to get away during the new moon phase to see the milkyway away from city lights. Great hiking and swimming during the summer with clean toilet and shower facilities. Small brown bears in the area who keep to themselves as long as they don't pick up the scent for food. Make sure you use the food lockers provided.
Nice campground. Paved roads, easy access to hiking trails and shoreline. Does have hilly terrain, you should be fairly fit to walk. Would have given it a five, but Rangers don't patrol or enforce 10pm quiet time.
2ish mile walk to the lake, but very clean and quiet. I would recommend to a friend
Great bathrooms and showers. Well kept campground. But don't expect any privacy. Also, some people have NO camping etiquette.
