This is a great location for a multitude of activities. On any given day you will see the nonstop arrival and departure of G-5's and other high end private jets. You are a 3 minute drive away from some of the best skiing available in the country.

This is a top notch full-service mountain airport. Great place to learn how to fly, or to continue practicing the superpower. It's busy with tran$ient snowbirds in charter jets but the tower is great, and it really just adds to the vibe. There are planes for rent at Sierra Aero, and great instructors like Sarah for those wanting to get up. Some of the snobby locals hate the noise, but maybe they should take a lesson and see what all the ruckus is about ;)

The same people who moved here to get away from city life and can afford to fly on private jets are exactly the same ones complaining about noise....like 99% of them. The last 1% are those poor souls who are not as rich and or lived here their whole lives they I understand. The cafe has decent priced food however it’s very hippy oriented/liberal food. Best go into town and get real food if you got time.
