After having been to and called multiple companies and banks trying to get a simple document notarized (and was very much near my wit’s end), I looked across the street and lo, and behold, like a Heaven-sent gift, there it was! All brick, and building-like, standing before me, the name of the structure like a brilliant, shining banner, “Revelations Tax Service”.nAh, a shred of hope. I felt it slowly inch its way back into my mind. I thought to myself, “Could this be it? Could this be the magical place I’ve been dreaming of for the past 4 hours that would make my wishes come true and my will to live return?”nHesitantly, I gave them a call, watching timidly from across the street, wondering if they could see me through the window and were thinking I was some sort of creep. A very nice woman answered the phone and after asking her my question, the answer came. Yes! They notarized the types of documents I needed to have their services performed upon! Tears streamed down my face as I ran delightedly across the street (obviously after waiting about 20 seconds for the white pedestrian hand to sign it was cool for me to go, because remember, that will to live was starting to return). I opened the door to the building, and after a VERY short wait, I daintily danced into the office, feeling as light as a feather, and had a wonderful, very friendly experience with Jennifer.n———nOkay, enough with the dramatics. The story above was quite similar to what actually happened, just take away the streaming tears, the dancing, and the running.nnIn all seriousness, though (after having dealt with so many people and phone calls and waiting and being transferred back and forth to different people because somehow, no one knew if the company they had worked for for however long did this small, simple ‘witnessing and stamping’ task), I really DID feel like their services were a blessing. Jennifer was so nice and willing to help me (despite some complications on my end), was very personable and down-to-earth, and the office was very comfortable with a home-like feel to it. I wasn’t afraid to put my purse down wherever I liked or yawn if I felt the need; I was very comfortable and felt like I could be myself. I was able to get my document notarized in a very timely manner and even though I don’t need tax and notary services very often, if I ever do, I will most DEFINITELY be calling this business again, and also referring anyone else to them who may be needing the services they provide.
