This was a great hike. Had a little bit of everything. Streams and rock climbing was a fun mix up, the planks were well positioned to avoid the mud too. We did the entire big loop and it was great all the way around. The lake was a nice surprise too. It was way bigger than it looked at first.
Nice trail with variable terrain and well marked. I gave it only 3 stars because the end is on the road with little to no shoulder.
Park here. Go hiking. No signs of Sasquatch this far south.
The water is clean, but warm due to the shallowness of the lake. There are restrooms, but most were locked, or very dirty. Parking is free and the staff are friendly. There is a picnic area with fireplaces in the shade, not far from the beach. There are no changing areas or showers.
