Awesome food awesome atmosphere their food is like your mom would make as they refer to it as comfort food. The owner is Ted Karousos who's family used to own the old Sea Fare Restaurant in Portsmouth. Blue Plate Diner is one of my favorite place to take friends who come from out of town so be it Breakfast, Lunch, or even Dinner with Blue Plate Diner you can't go wrong the prices are reasonable.
Quick and friendly service. Was checked on regularly. Delicious home fries and actual corned beef. Fair prices.
Usually get the Patty Melt from this establishment and each time is better than the last. they grill the bread to perfection..it's a bit pricey for diner food (only thing keeping it from 5 stars) but it is well worth the price. Other people who have ordered other things have also been quite satisfied
First time visit and I was not disappointed. Food was great and staff are courteous. Will definitely visit again, highly recommended.
The Blue Plate Diner is an oasis in the desert of COVID risk. We ordered and paid on line, called to let them we arrived, and a masked and gloved staffer brought out our breakfast ready-to-go. Our eggs Benedict meals were delicious and the coffee was still piping hot when we got back to our campsite (Melville Ponds Campground). We will be coming back!
