Holiday Acres Camp Grounds

This campground is completely rude and unprofessional ... we had to cancel our upcoming reservation due to the MA travel ban and RI no longer being an exempt state and they refuse to give our deposit back. In no way is this our fault we had to cancel and otherwise we would be going. The lady in the phone was incredibly rude and said the manager “put his foot down” and when I asked to speak with the manager, she told me I could call back when he’s there (not letting me know when that was) and said the manager would not call me himself. I do not recommend this campground and will make sure to never recommend it and will continue to call and aggravate them to get my money!

Very clean. Everyone seemed to respect quiet hours. Nice beach.

My fiance and I spent 4 months at this campground while on contract in Providence. The campground itself is nice and fairly well maintained. We would consider staying here again.nnThe biggest issues are:nThe bath houses and laundry facility could stand some renovating, but get the job done.nThe roads are dirt and many parts of the park flood with any amount of rain.nThe WiFi works...sometimes.nnPerks:nGreat staff at the office and in security.nFriendly, family environment that makes you feel safe. The have many people who park seasonally, my experience with them all were positive.nGood location: settled in a beautiful part of RI, but close enough to larger towns and essentials.nnI would say the state of the campground is about 3 stars, but the people in it make it a 4 star stay.

We just took a seasonal site for 2020.. Mark and Margaret in the office are just about the 2 nicest people you will ever meet in a business... Anything we needed to get set up they gave us ... And it's off season... Justin who works for the campground is fantastic.. Helped us out BIG TIME... Can't wait till spring...

Stopped in on a whim while driving through RI on one of many cross country trips we take in our Eurovan camper. Pulled in to the office parking lot and the lady working had just locked the door and was leaving (it was 1:00pm). I waved and said hello and she looked right at me, got in her car, and left. We were clearly there to rent a site. 10 minutes later someone drove by and said he’d let the admin person know we were there waiting. 10 minutes after that the same woman that had just blown us off showed back up.nWe asked about a site and she asked “what year is that vehicle?” I replied 1995. She said “we don’t allow those kinds of vehicles here.” She asked several more questions about what amenities we have onboard and again asked what year it was. I replied that we have traveled all over the country and never had an issue getting a site with power and water. She replied “the manager is strict about who we let in here.”nIf that’s the welcome you give guests, I’ll take my business elsewhere. For the record, our near mint, fully working camper has a stove, sink, fridge, water and holding tanks, and toilet. But I guess due to the fact it’s a 1995 vehicle it’s not allowed in... hmmm.
