One of the amazing coffee places in Columbia City with ‘Excellent’ rating and welcoming customer service. During the pandemic they are open till 3pm and observe all other health protocols. Try the ice coffee, my friend who visited loved it.
Really great espresso, wow!! The folks working here were really friendly and the waffles were good too. But that espresso, dang!!
I love Empire! Their waffle bar is great, but their cashew milk lattes are by far my favorite hot drink (from anywhere!). They make the cashew milk in house. I get them even though I can drink regular milk, haha.
I have been here several times and have really enjoyed my experience and would have given it 5 stars before today. Initially when I walked in I was please to see two women, one Black one White. Before it was always white men who were always nice and welcoming. Today, to my disappointment, the Sister was so stand-off-ish ( I am a Black female); it felt unwelcoming bordering on rude. I won’t be returning.
The caramel latte 1/2 was delicious. Smooth, bold coffee and frothy milk with a hint of caramel sauce.
