The owners are really super nice and friendly. The food have been consistently good and the coffee there is great! A must if you need a coffee, sweet treat, Ethiopian food, or just a friendly face.nnThe first time we came I was pregnant and we just wanted to check it out. It has just moved to the neighborhood. The couple at the table next to us had order some food and I made a comment about how delicious it smelt. About 15 minutes later, Judy comes by with a plate made for me telling me that I’m her culture, when a pregnant lady smells something delicious, you must prepare it for her to eat. The surprise lunch was so good, lentils were perfect and the Injera soaked up the juices!nnSince then, the owners have not only remembered us, our son, and our friends but always give us little gifts when we come. They are lovely, kind and generous!
Mellow jazz sets the mood, as you indulge your taste buds with tasty Eritrean dishes. The teff injera, a sort of brown flat bread, soaks up the juices from the meat, making a great addition. And teff - an Ethiopian grain, is really good for you. Tastefully appointed, partially decorated with East African coffee pots of earthy tones and intriguing shape, it is a little bit of Africa, right here in Seattle. Your attentive hostess, Amy (I presume), will make sure you do not want for utensils, drink, etc. A real find.
Love this place. The owners are so friendly. Super clean dining area. There coffee is perfect.
Service was great. Amazing ambience. Food was good not over the top but good and prices were fair.
Food is great and the takeout is very fast. I've had 3 different dishes so far and the meat combo has been my fave so far. Haven't had anything I wouldn't order again. Portions are kind of small but otherwise amazing.
