This park is such a hidden treasure right in the midst of the city.
The Columbus Park of Roses is still a wonderful little gem in the city after all these years. Maintained largely by volunteers, it's a lovely place for a walk or a picnic. They also host concerts in the park and many weddings.
One of the best parks in Columbus!
What can I say, this is my favorite park in Columbus. It's beautiful here any time of the year and a great place to mark the changing of the seasons. The roses are beautiful in summer, this is a great place to watch fireworks at the 4th of July, and I love coming to sit at a picnic table and eat lunch. I played softball here growing. I love bringing my bike down here to hop on the Olentangy Trail. There is also a great sense of community here. You will find every kind of person young and old relaxing and enjoying the park. Everyone is nice. My only warning is if you have a very reactive dog, pay attention and keep them on a leash. A lot of people walk their dogs off leash here. I've never met an unfriendly one, but if you are worried about your own pet keep an eye out.
