I brought my car in to these guys and I can't rave enough about the awesome service! They did exactly what my car needed at the time, and suggested a few things that needed attention. I will definitely be going there before anywhere else for service on my car. Very friendly staff, fantastic service and good prices. Yes, I do recommend this place. ⭐ud83dudc4f

So I brought my van to them in August because it wouldn’t start. They did a diagnostic and told us it was the fuel pump. Ok $662 later we were back on the roads. Fast forward to June 15th. The van dies on me a block away from home. So I call Union street and they couldn’t get my van in until next Tuesday. Ok phase 3 just opened up so I understood why they were so busy. So in the meantime I called the dealership where I bought the van to see if they could get my van in sooner and sure enough they could look at the van on the 18th! Yes! But oh no... the dealership told me it was... the fuel pump! Oh hold up I just had that replace in August. So they showed me where you access the fuel pump and the access plate and the fuel pump are the original parts! Are you kidding me! Ok well if it’s the fuel pump then it’s still under warranty so bye bye dealership (he offered to replace it at and just charge us for the pump, no labor because they knew we being taken advantage of). So I have the van brought back to Union Street and a get a call from Travis and he says that it’s the fuel pump harness. They adjusted some wires that melted according to Travis and got the van to run. He told me that to replace the harness it’s gonna cost anywhere up to $1800! So to replace the harness is 3 times the price of a new fuel pump? I’m not doing that. So Travis says he can send a mechanic to a pick and pull but he gonna charge me for the time it takes for him to find one and get it out so at least another $200 already. Now I’m scratching my head because all the pick and pulls I know of they pick the part for you so you don’t have to waste time looking around. I guess what baffles me is what the dealership said. They never replaced my pump. Oh side note... the tow truck driver from Union street that got the van from the dealership told them that all my repair paperwork at Union street can’t be found. It’s hard trusting mechanics as it is and we explained that to Travis when we started bringing our car to them last year. But I guess some places just don’t care like this one. Anyone what the name and contact info on the dealership I went to send a reply. The guy at the dealership gave me his personal number. He felt really bad for us getting used.

Very reasonable gas prices. They still pump gas for you and clean your windows. Friendly staff and they do a great job in the shop as well.

Recently my dad and I brought his Ford Ranger in for an inspection. This has been my dads garage for quite some time. Dad has had almost ALL of his repairs here unless it had to go to the Ford Dealer. We arrived on time and a young man came out, took the keys and instead of taking it into the garage for its inspection, took it for a DRIVE down the street first. WHO DOES THAT WHEN YOU GO IN FOR AN INSPECTION? I can see if there was an area of concern and then they told you but this was not the case. We waited an hour and then my father ( who is 88 and in poor health) went back to see what the story was. They failed his truck, took the sticker off and gave him an “estimate” for almost a thousand dollars. Dad was taken back. They said he needed wheel bearings and ball joints. He had new rotors a year ago and bearings were packed. In conclusion: we DID NOT have the work done there, thank God. We took it to a highly recommended place in Canandaigua and they ( without seeing WHY it had failed) did their own inspection and said the ONLY THING that was needed was the axle nut needed tightening, packed bearing and inspected it. From almost a thousand dollars at Gulf to 66.00 at “ our new garage”. Why go back when you find the best. These folks in Canandaigua go by “word of mouth referrals” and don’t need to advertise. The mechanic even brought dad and I back to show us what he saw. Bye bye Union Street Gulf.
