Great fishing but the woman at the front gate has been extremely rude for the past 3 years. Can't sign in and pay to fish until 15 minutes before your session starts by the time you drive to the hatchery lot and walk to your spot it's already past the start of your fishing sessionnnHaven’t been to the park for over 2 years now thought I’d call to see if the trout we’re biting and treat myself to an afternoon of fly fishing but Janet answered the phone and rather than answer my question about the fishing she told me how the river was full sounding almost too happy to rain on my parade and hung up before I had a chance to finish asking more questions about the park I had been told years ago she had undergone disciplinary action for her attitude but it’s the same as it’s always been unacceptable

Huge, beautiful park. I've only been here during the fall and winter, so I'd imagine it would be even nicer in the spring and summer. Trails range from 1 mile to 8 miles, and you can potentially combine some of them. It makes for a great, scenic walk.

Beautiful stroller accessible reserve. Go here early as the parking lot is small, especially during current times. I got in here in a third try and the walk around the lake is beautiful. You will see historic village, fish hatchery and lots of trees.

Nice open areas to walk and enjoy nature. It was very relaxing. Many people were fishing and hiking along marked trails.nnCOVID-19 note: Mask wearing was about 50/50. Most people kept distance. Some trails were too narrow to keep distance. Restrooms are open. Indoor actives were closed. Outdoor guided tour are active.

A beautiful park, more like a preserve, with miles of trails to walk and a fish hatchery.
