The Eastern trail is pretty nice but a bit poorly marked, so its hard sometimes to see blue marks - that made us loose direction and we had few fun moment we felt lost )). Nobody remove fallen trees from the trail. Other from that the place itself is pretty nice and worth to visit.
I just park my truck there for a nap but they place was awesome
Couldn't find the path on the north side very easily. Lots of logging has absoloutly ruined the blue path that is kind of marked. We missed where the red path turned off or we would have gone that way.nnWe had a good time overall but it was not super enjoyable. There is one trail head at one of the parking areaa...when there at 5 parking areas listed on the map! Very disappointing.
Hitch hiking need ride into Albany walked from north adams mass with my dog an pack to here hot tired .nobody stops.
We went here last weekend and overall was a nice hike with a steady trail that loops through the state forest. We parked on rt. 7 and used the trail head there. There's also another entrance on rt. 22. Overall it was very secluded (I was surprised to only have seen one other person for a summer weekend), but the trail runs along rt. 7 which didn't make for a quiet hike.
