Came on a Monday afternoon. Might have been my lucky day but it was not crowded at all(I know most places are usually packed on weekends but I haven't been here on a weekend). Reserved my rentals the night before so when I came in the next day everything was quick and easy. Great rental prices compared to other mountains near by. Only one hour away from the city with great rental prices and great trails to teach a beginner. Definitely coming back tomorrow and the day after!

Great spot to learn to ski not far from NYC. I've never skied before, but wanted to take lessons a few times leading up to a Vermont trip with friends on President's Day weekend. Easy to get to Thunder Ridge on Metro North, which I wanted to do to keep things as cheap as possible. Did a group lesson my first day, the instructor John was great at teaching a large group of beginners. Gave me enough of a base to hit the small bunny slope and then the greens. I came back a week later for a private lesson, and the girl who taught me, Katrina, was great. She listened to exactly what I wanted to work on and we did just that. I feel like I really progressed after that private lesson. The ski area is small so it's easy/quick for a beginner to get around. Employees are friendly. This isn't a mega mountain, but a nice small-town feel place to get some runs in. I'll be back whenever I need a quick day trip to scratch the ski itch.

I highly recommend for beginners and advanced beginners. They have great lessons and teachers! Great mountain to learn how to ride or to work/brush up on your skills. My brother and I came 10 years ago to learn how to ride and last year I brought my son here for his first lesson and he learned a lot and had a blast.nnWe went recently for my niece’s birthday and she also had a blast. Very close to the city and fairly priced. The $15 upgrade for night skiing was totally worth it and my son loved the night skiing (First time night skiing for him). My nephew and I spent most of our time on the diamond trails. Conditions were great not a lot of ice ud83dudc4dud83cudffd

Small mountain, they try very hard. Trails are short but it is very close for many, right down the street for me. Great hill for beginners, advanced riders will get bored so I recommend a half day in that case. All in all a nice local mountain doing their best to help people learn to ski and ride. Support them if you can. I will be back for skill tuneups regularly.

Very small mountain Good for teaching first-time skiers. quick get away from Long Island only took an hour and a half to get there. Do the covid-19 can't and won't critique lodging area. Get there real early if you want to rent equipment. Since there's a lot of classes for training a lot of kids rent equipment
