5 stars if there was a view atop this short, steep and intense 1,060' hike. There are some peeks along the way, but this local gem is mostly treed. A bonus is that toward the top you'll start seeing columnar basalt, the remains of this extict volcanic cinder cone. This mountain is also called Mt Peak, which is a misnomer. Early settlers used to call it Mt Pete, for Pete Chorak, an Enumclaw local. Much of Pinnacle Peak lies beneath the surrounding flat farmland which formed from the Osceola Mudflow some 5,600 years ago.

Great workout, steep and not very long. Was hoping for a view once we reached the top. The best views are on the way up but were not without obstructions.
