It was a nice hike, beautiful scenery... But the trail simply isn't marked well. Going out to the arch is easier to stay on track, but coming back has a few confusing spots that make it difficult to know where to go. You could easily get lost trying to find your way back. I would recommend a bread - crumb GPS app or your favorite hiking app that will give you detailed walking directions. The arch is small, but it's fun to get to and there is much more to see around you then just the arch. The trail actually goes all the way out to the Virgin River if you want to keep going past the arch. Keep in mind the arch is at the bottom of a steep, sandy hill.. Lots of fun going down, but a serious workout going back up. The trail is not stroller friendly at all, so leave the super small ones with someone else for this hike. My advice - Take plenty of water, it can get real hot real fast out here. Use sunscreen and a shade hat. And consider a good hiking / bread-crumb GPS to help you find your way back.

Amazing hike. This is a hidden gem. Much like Arches national park. We went on a winter day and it was lovely weather for hiking. The views of the river mixed with the red rock was incredible.

It's a beautiful hike, lots to see but the trail isn't marked well. It might be fun at the beginning when you have all this energy and hype to see the arch but the sun is unforgiving and it becomes frustrating. The trail is not clear at all, we got lost and even though we got there we still have no idea where the trail begun. On our way back, we got lost again and this time it was actually concerning because we got to a point where we went down a small canyon and could not go back without ropes so we had to keep going, we somehow got to the original trail before heading down the rocks but after that we were pretty dehydrated, frustrated, scratched and sunburned. The trail is definitely worth it but I would HIGHLY suggest to use something to mark it, an app or physical stuff that you can collect as you go up.You won't probably go down in a straightforward way because it's almost impossible to follow whatever trail there is without going off it but at least you will know where to go back. Going back up is very exhausting so getting lost is very frustrating at that point so don't risk it, there are some areas where one can get hurt if trying to follow that path.

This is one of those hikes that I hesitate to review simply because I can be selfish and want it to stay unknown. It's beautiful, simply put. Not super well marked and you'll want something with better suspension than a Corolla to get out there, but that's just how nature do. I hiked it in the early Spring and can imagine it could get pretty miserable in the summer unless it's a cloudy day. Not much shade coverage. During the cooler seasons it's perfect. Stunning views all around.
