This business posed a serious threat to my welfare.nnI put up with continuous no-call-no-shows both by the electrician and one of his carpenter assistants. There was only one carpenter on his crew that expressed any concern about my finances and who then disappeared from their crew. I put up their unpredictability for more than a year. I was afraid to hire someone else because I had signed a contract and was afraid of retaliation and this was a horrendous error on my part.nHe explained the wiring of my house to me in extensive detail but this came at a high price.nThe contract had hidden fees that should have been openly discussed right away and the details should have been included on a separate contract. Instead this was obscured from me for an extended length of time. This included the added cost of the carpenters that had to tear down my walls. On the first visit to my house, my power lines were suddenly cut without my permission and then I was informed that they were a code violation. This made my house unlivable. I don't think the state actively seeks out and punishes home owners for code violations. This brought about the additional charge of digging a trench and getting underground power. It also involves someone who is nearly a total stranger telling me how to spend my money.nThe loss of rental income for me was extremely serious. Someone who comes when they feel like it and leaves you with no power for more than six month has to be highly immoral. Don't make the same mistake I made and do not hire anyone to upgrade your house unless you have the savvy and the wherewithal to do this.
