Stayed the weekend at my in-laws in Nebraska City, decided to try this place out and sure glad I did. Service was friendly and efficient (my coffee cup never ran out), the Husker scramble was incredible ( arrived very quickly with a plentiful portion) and the prices are very fair. The atmosphere of this diner was also superb; very warm and welcoming, not to mention very clean as well. Will certainly come back again the next time we’re in town for a visit.
Craft cocktails. And the best food - from start (cheese boards and apps) to finish (chocolate pb lava cake). Check out the pics I posted for reference. It took all self control to not order a second dish of the risotto.
Have not had one bad meal at the Downtowner. I love all their food. The service is always great too.
Great place to eat in Nebraska City. They have amazing gyros that are really big and super tasty! I also had their biscuits and gravy one morning, but wouldn't really recommend those. Overall this place is fantastic. Quick service and great tasting food.
