Tim recently came to our school and did a winter survival class with a group of our students. I was lucky enough to attend the class myself. Tim does a wonderful job of including history and science into his workshop, so that the students really understand what his is demonstrating and trying to teach them. Our students absolutely loved this workshop, as did I. I hope that we are able to do this again next year. I had several students tell me that if we were doing this next year, to sign them up. It was a great day!

This was a great experience for me from the start of the course. Not only did I learn a lot about nature in general, but also how to self sustain. I also never imagined the art of canoeing would be so extensive and this school gave me that knowledge and broadened my skill set.

Awesome experience! Well rounded course that touched on things from proper handling of a canoe to processing acorns to eat. You get the opportunity to live in the wilderness for 9 weeks and hone your outdoor living skills. Don't miss your chance - if you are thinking about signing up do it - it will be a memorable experience.

I was at a 3 day workshop with 2 of my coworkers in the winter. We set out to research everything there is to know about axes, and Tim was the ideal source for that knowledge. He was a clear expert, a friendly personality, and a hospitable host. I couldn't recommend Jack Mtn more highly.

If you're interested in Bushcraft, wilderness survival or primitive living (or just looking for a great new experience) I absolutely recommend this school. You don't just get taught and do homework, you live the life every second of every day until the skills necessary to be self sufficient in the bush are little more than second nature to you.
