El Meson Mexican Restaurant

Met a friend for a late lunch. We were the only guests in the dining room. Food was very good. Hot, fresh, and served quickly! All workers wore masks, and everything was very clean!

-Forgot tortillas in carry out last 2x.n-Extremely stale chips (even after reheating).n-WATERED DOWN and bland $4.50 cheese dip.n-Received lunch size portion at regular price.n-Onions throw in dish last minute, practically raw.n-Really dark green quacamole (looks like yesterday's).nnMy lunch sized entree and cheese dip was nearly $20 and I should have taken my order back. It was that bad this time. Until they get it together, I will go to their competitor where the food, service and prices are better.

The food is really the only reason I give this 3 ☆ . But it's not really as good as it used to be. Most the servers that worked here a couple years ago aren't there any longer and the service is slow and not as friendly now.

The service was top notch. I got the steak burrito. The steak was not cut into pieces all the way so they were 3 to 4 inches long. Had to cut them into bite sizes pieces with a butter knife. Jess got steak and shrimp fajitas, there were about 6 shrimp. Food was speedy and hot. The salsa had too much tomato sauce and not enough chunks of onion, tomato or cilantro. Good job with Covid seating in the dining room. Jess's frozen strawberry margarita was to her liking. Over all it was not a repeatable experience. Take out order was well packaged for heat preservation.

The food was good, The staff was friendly, But the service was SLOW.!!!
