I called and made an appointment to look at a vehicle a week in advanced. I drove over an hour to see it, and when I got there the salesman told me it sold the day before. OKAY! That's fine but you could have called me and told me before I drove a 2 hour round trip!

False advertising online showing vehicles for $600 - $2,500. Salesman Steve says that he needs to update the website to remove the vehicles that aren't available anymore. He also says the cheapest vehicle he has is in the $5000 range. He was rude and barely made any eye contact because he was more focused on his computer. The other guy in the building was wanting to be helpful, but Steve wouldn't give us the time of day.

Got a truck from them they told me it was ready to go. I took a day off work drive 2 hrs to look at the truck with a few issues. They fixed the problems that I saw so I I purchased it. I put new mirrors on because 1 was broke. New wheels and tires and changed the radio. Then noticed the frame was rusted out completely on the driver's side. Canned to inform them a nd was assured it would be fixed. Then a wheel barring went bad. Normally you would do both at the same time but ok . While fixing the issues b4 I got it the fuel guage was messed up. Not sure how but was to it would be fixed. Along with the brakes that seem to have been forgotten about. Warped rotors. The drive train is starting to make a bad hawl. Still waiting on parts to come in to get it fixed. But this will be trip # 4 to have this worked on. I ha e made 1 payment on the truck and don't feel safe to pit my family in to.

I’m very sorry to say that our family’s experience with Bastian seems to be similar to many others I find myself reading in these reviews. I am sorry I put my family in this position as I should have known better. I should have read these reviews. They are very alarming. As an experienced car salesperson I can say there have been many red flags for us.nnCurrently we are unsure if we have actually been approved for the vehicle despite a number of things.nnWe reached out to Bastian before driving 1 hour one way to the 2014 Dodge Dart and explained that we would like to proceed with the financing of the vehicle to assure we were approved before we wasted time, money, and energy. Mike tells us 2 separate times that we are 100% approved. The Dart is ours. So, my family make the trip. Mike had all of the paperwork ready to go, the car was warmed up, we were in and out of the dealership in less than an hour.nnWe were ecstatic. However, as the days went by Bastian's then retracted the statement that we were approved and that my partner needed to co-sign. Then all of our paperwork that we submitted suddenly was no longer acceptable and they needed additional information. This was alarming to us. Seemingly a sales tactic to back us into keeping the car.nThis will work with most people, these dealerships will let you take the car, you drive it, love it, show it off, tell friends and family, and THEN these dealerships will let you know you were never approved. There are still things that are needed, another co-signer, a bigger down payment, a larger monthly payment. You just showed off your new car to you friends and family. The likelihood of you putting down anything you can to keep it or begging anyone to co-sign your loan to avoid embarrassment is very high.nnIn the middle of all of this PayPal locked our account for fraudulent activity and pointed the finger at Bastian's. Real nice when we are expecting stimulus money, isn't it? Now it could be a week before my family gets these funds. We are also unable to access the funds we had prior. Thanks Bastian!nnWe have thus retracted all of our statements to friends and family to buy from Bastian's. My partner has a great deal of legal education. So we are considering what legal actions we will take if this car buying transaction reveals itself as a scam. Comparing our situation to many others I see here - my partner thinks a class action lawsuit and perhaps an investigation should be called for.nnIf things work out and things turn out okay in the end I will return here and update my comment.nnUpdate: We have been informed to return the vehicle we were told we were 100% financed for. They claim that we were being “uncooperative”. What a joke.nnI like to reiterate that we have in writing our family asking Mike: “All the info we gave you fulfills your requirements?” They said yes. We asked “We are 100% financed?” They said 100%.nnDon’t let these guys convince you they’re doing you some kind a favor. Nope, nothing but sketchy business practices.nnAdditional Update: 1/6/2020 - our family has received additional verbal abuse from this establishment accompanied with an unwarranted threat of police action. Read the reviews before engaging with this business. After we are sure they can no longer cause us additional financial distress and after the return of the vehicle we will be reaching out to the BBB.

I would love to have given this place a higher rating. But however. I bought a truck from these guys a few months ago and it had some things wrong with it. And I pointed it out and they “took note of it” well I didn’t think nothing of it took their word on they would “fix it” and they didn’t! I have an oil leak that’s only gotten worse! A broken leaf spring that they where “waiting on the part for” it’s been at least 6 months and not to mention the “ warranty“ I bought with the truck that I could have very well used to fix it with! That covers absolutely nothing! I’ve had to seek other advice on how to go about holding them responsible and to their word! This would be the 2nd used car lot I’ve bought a work truck from that has just done me wrong! And I walked in believing they where a lot better then this! I have been thrown around and they have dodged my calls for about a month now. And it’s crazy! Because all I wanted was the oil leak to be fixed! I’ve kept up on the maintenance and have all the proof from the shop I take it too! And over time it’s just gotten worse! So the 10,900$ truck I pay on isn’t going to last me like I thought and here I am going to have to fork out more money. I wasn’t even worried about the little things like spark plugs I’ve had to replace and all that it has just been the oil leak! I’m not one to complain but when it comes to saying you are going to fix something and you don’t is where I get upset! I’ve called Brian multiple times to try and talk something out and get no call back I sent an email got no response so now I have to seek further action to see about reversing my loan because I have proof of the oil leak when I first bought the vehicle from them dating back to the first week I owned it! I’ve learned a lesson here and once I reverse the loan I’ll be going to a dealership! Because I’ve learned my lesson the hard way! And won’t be scammed anymore by used car lots! And it’s sad because I was a fan of the guys at the coal valley location! But the owner doesn’t seem to care that at any point this truck could leave me stranded at a job site!and that I’m out of a 10,900$ loan because well I’m sure his vehicle runs well! Just sad! Because I was referred to them by a mechanic that buys lots of cars from them! And swore that they where good people and now he can’t believe that they pulled one over like this! It’s definitely all about word of mouth and I won’t ever be referring anyone to them like I have already! Save the money guys and just go buy used from a dealership! Atleast they stand by their warrantees! That cost almost 1,000$ ud83dude2a
