Grant Community High School

The school in itself is mediocre, but you can *clearly* tell that the staff/teachers/principal are trying their best to keep the school spirit when it died in the early 21st century. But what I don't like about the school is the amount of websites blocked; they block everything from games to any kind of social media (except for YouTube), and they expect us to be paying full attention, participate, et cetera. And yes, I understand why they would do that, but even blocking social media doesn't prevent cyber-bullying and such. And the classes range from a pretty interesting to down-right BORING. Again, the school in itself is mediocre, a lot of other school suffer the same fate, but they try SO HARD to make it a bit more interesting. Remaking popular songs, making their own versions of music videos, playing games in assemblies, and much more. But the amount of blocking... DAMN! And the worst part, some students panic during MAP testings, ACT tests, and much more; since they're not allowed to have cellphones out (to listen to music), then they're not going to succeed as much as they can. Maybe if they can have some kind of note or specific identification for the student so they are allowed to play games/listen to music without taking a test/quiz/any kind of work for a couple minutes. But, who knows? Bottom line: the school is decent, but they *really* love to block things.
