Beautiful natural scenery...I've seen more cardinals, herons, and turtles here than many other trails combined. Worth bike riding for that reason alone, however, the pavement is in dire need of restoration, and can be a real a$$ breaker if you don't have suspension on your bike (my 1981 Schwinn Le Tour does not, except in the seat post). For that reason this may be a better trail for hiking. If you do decide to bike it, stay southwest of the main lot off of Willow Springs road and park at Henri de Tonty woods instead (a little further past 95th street and archer rd)..the pavement is a little better on that side.

Lots of turtles! Not a lot of shade. Good walk for turtle aficionados.
Great place for a bike ride or walk.
