Seminole Valley Park

I always love coming to this park for some peace and quiet time.

Nice park with lots of open space and green grass. Plenty of trees for shade on super warm days and lots of trails and paths to follow. I frequently walk dogs here and they love it!

Great open spaces.

This park is a shell of what it used to be. When I was a kid there was a campground, soccer fields, an airstrip for remote control planes. It's all gone now. The roads are covered in dog poop. This park has become disgusting. It's so sad. I used to love this park.

If you like wide open spaces near Cedar Rapids to run, cross country ski, or fly model aircraft, then this is your place. There's plenty of room for games, picnics, and sports. With the Cedar River often being high, many trails flood often, and river access is limited. The city could do better on wooded trails and mosquito control. Bathrooms would be nice, but there's porto potties, and they were cleaned regularly.
