Great spot! It's a bit misleading because it looks like a mild hike until you really get into it. The Mills Creek trail is the fastest way to the waterfall, but it's a *climb*. Keep that in mind. And a friendly reminder: bring a first aid kit, a snack and water. :)
Perfect hike if you have about 2.5 hours to spare. Would not recommend with young kids. Se rocks are a bit lose, so watch your step. There were some locations which I think could be better marked.
This is a great place to hike but be prepared for a real hike unless you just do the Bethel Creek Loop. The rest of the trails are all up the side of a mountain at a decent incline. However, the journey is worth the destination as the waterfall at the end of the trails is beautiful! If you are looking for an easier route use the Mill Trail in and out. If you want more distance take Falling Sink back out but note that the trail is a bit hard to spot by the waterfall. You have to look uphill and left of where the Mill trail ends. If you want a challenge do Carpenter to Falling Sink in and Mill out. Also worth note that although it gets a bit slippery and muddy, it's better to go after it been raining so there's more water at the falls. It's at its best in the spring when there has been heavy rains.
This is a great Land Trust nature preserve. Good parking, great trails. Like everybody else said, the trail to the falls is straight up a mountain, it is short but pretty tough. Beautiful falls, can't wait to come back after some rain.
This is a great place to spend half a day and a beautiful hike during the fall. There are picnic tables and plenty of open grass by the parking lot for resting after the hike. Neither trail is easy but they will both take you to the waterfall. I recommend taking the Mill Trail (left at the fork off of Carpenter Trail) unless you just really enjoy steep uphill hiking and switchbacks. There are several giant rocks at the falls to sit on for eating lunch and resting. The waterfall is definitely worth the hike in but take plenty of water.
