Pretty and quiet (except for the birds!) but really needs maintenance work. Quite muddy in parts and so overgrown I didn't dare finish the trail in my t shirt and running shoes.

Tiny but sweet 'wild' area straddling Thornton Creek in the city.

It's a real quiet little park nestled in between a bunch of houses. It might be pretty overgrown, but the faint path does make you feel like you're exploring a jungle! The treehouse and rope swing are of course the highlight of the area. If you're good enough you can swing across the creek! Super fun place to spend time with rambunctious kids!

A nice, quiet wild space with lovely bird songs. Trails overgrown and tons of invasive species, some being treated with herbicide. Not suitable for small children or with child in backpack. Hardly worth the stop, although we did get to see a rat cross the creek.

Park at 1100 NE 130th ST for trails. Odds are it will be a walk in the woods alone. A real jewel if this is your neighborhood.
