The wait was very, very long because the one young girl was stuck by herself most of the time I was there... Finally after 25 minutes another lady showed up and started bringing food out to the two ladies that were there before me...waiting for awhile.nI ordered 1/2 pound of brisket, and got 4 large chucks, not sliced thin as before... it wasn't tender. I got 1/2 marinated chicken breast assuming it would be smoked... not!!!! it was terrible. I hate to say it, but they're getting like Popeyes, small helpings, terrible service, and way too high priced.... $10.50 for a half pound of tough brisket. No thanks.... I won't be returning. Time to find something new.
Good food. Service and atmosphere seem to improve daily. This place is very good.
I recently visited Dickey's Pit BBQ at the Waller location off of 290. I ordered 6 ribs and a sliced beef sandwich and paid 21 dollars and some change for it. THIS WAS SOME OF THE WORST FOOD THAT I HAVE HAD!!! The ribs were obviously a day or two old and they were cold, salty, and nearly hard as a rock. The brisket sandwich was cold and portions of the meat was hard and dry and the rest was nothing but FAT. I don't mind paying for what I want but I was robbed of my money because the garbage they served me was not worth feeding to the buzzards.
Horrible I ordered 2 meat plate with sliced brisket & pork ribs. Side of fried okra & bbq beans to go. Got home meat was harder and dry as a peice of cardboard beans were cold,the only thing worth eating an I didn't trash were the fried okra only because they had to make them. To make matters worse no napkins no sauce no utensils. A waste of $14 I will not be going back !
The food was good. Very good.
