Salon Vivid

Guess not coming to this salon. If I can describe the outcome of my hair it’s like ordering online “expectations vs reality” thing. I had this perm a week ago, I wanted to have my curly hair back. But I specifically said “I wanted the not too curly” and even showed a picture of how I want my hair to look. She said there’s a risk, since my hair has color on the bottom part it will somehow will get dry after the perm was done. I said that’s fine as long as I’m not gonna have hair loss and I’ll be getting that curl I wanted. So after the process, she asked if I wanted to have it blow dry and I was like in my mind”should I leave the salon with a wet hair”? Then I said yes and said maybe it’d be better to have it trimmed since the end got really dry. So I was all done ready to and asked me if I liked it, honestly I felt like I have a huge hair. She said that my hair will loosen up in the next few days. I was expecting to pay $95 plus tax I guess, but upon paying the receptionist said it’s $150. I guess that’s with all the blow dry and trim.nIt’s been a week now, my hair still looks like witch’s hair to be honest. By the way my hair isn’t as dry as like what she said it’s dry cause I’m using H&S shampoo but I always put condiments afterwards. So am I happy looking at it right now? No, I guess I got the volume I asked but not how it should looks like. I came to this Salon cause it got good reviews but I guess you really wouldn’t know til you’ve experienced it. Oh and she said it’s less maintenance but not really cause I have to go to Ulta and buy expensive set of hair care for my frizzy hair.

Ashley is the type of stylist that makes you want to never move again in your life so you never have to explain years worth of hair mishaps to a new stylist. My stylist from the east coast is like this and if I could just schedule all of my trips around having my hair done I totally would have never left her as a stylist. So long story short, every now and then hair disasters happen and Ashley is currently working her magic on my hair to bounce back from a hair mishap (not Ashley’s mishap). Attentive is an understatement when it comes to her work as a stylist. She is so personable and her positive attitude makes for such an uplifting appointment.

I just moved back to Houston and after checking the reviews on so many salons, I found Vivid salon and I love it! They are super nice. Celeste did an awesome job, she is amazing and sweet. And if you need someone that speaks Spanish too, she is your girl. Thank you so much!
