Great park with lots of trails! Not so many people here, so you can keep your distance. Trails are different - some are short and quick with lots of shade, some are longer and are more open, with lots of sunlight. We walked on only two trails last time, because we came late, but we will be back to explore more!nHighly recommend!

It's great for getting out in nature. Tons of construction right now though so the trails are limited. It'll be much better when it fully opens again.

Little annoyed their website was not consistently updated in all areas. Under the current trails conditions, it only said the Bittern Marsh Trail was closed. It is currently closed, along with the Paddling Trail, and Redbud Trail, the 3 of which are once that you can get more that short water views. Camping is also closed, so that's half the park.nnThe Cottonwood trail was the best with wide and clear paths. BlackJack and Cicada had quite a bit of one person paths with some mud. Overall it was a nice walk and I went around some of the trails more than once.

A gem. Beautiful trails, some with river access. Currently partially closed including the major river access point, due to construction, but a person working at the entry point said that that they expect it to be complete by June or July.

There is a selection of seven different trails you can choose from, although the Bittern Marsh trail is currently closed. Most of the trails intersect at some point, so it is easy to choose your own path. There is a Pioneer Homestead reconstruction on the Cottonwood trail, which is cool to check out. The river has some lovely lookout over it - I saw several herons! The trails are all well traveled and wide enough for at least two people. The workers at the front gate were very helpful and friendly, giving me a map and a safety concerns chat when I told them it was my first time. There’s a $5 fee to enter, and it was definitely worth it in my opinion. I had a great time visiting this park and would love to return. There is a lot of construction happening on the main road at the moment, but I had no trouble getting through and around it.
