A very quaint and quiet campground tucked away in the suburbs of Knoxville. I think Dry Camping is an accurate description of the accommodations here, without any electricity, though there was a single portapotty and water spicket for all the campers. Every site has a spot for campfires, though they are not much more than a spot of ash on the ground, be sure to bring your own grill for the fire. The site are all grassy and tucked against the woods, with a creek running behind. We had no trouble traversing the grounds without four-wheel drive, though many of the areas away from the sites are a bit muddy. There were plenty of trees nearby perfect for a hammock, though not at every site. Definitely bring your own firewood, but there was some leftover under the carport being used as a cover over the lone picnic table. We were excited to see so much wildlife with wild turkeys flying over our heads and deer in the next field over. The woman running the whole operation, Kat, was very kind and quick to respond to any of our inquiries, though she does not reside on the property. On the property she keeps bees and sells their honey to campers. We noticed several bees visit our campsite and they were friendly and gentle.nnIt's worth noting that the campsite polices only allow for 2 campers and 1 tent per site, unless you stay at the group site. We paid $15 a night, and were required to stay 4 nights, though this was during the off-season.nnOverall, this is a good campsite for someone who may have done plenty of camping before but not much dry camping and wants to get their feet wet. The location is nice as it is very close to stores, and really not much longer of a drive to the national park than staying in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg because of the traffic. We stayed in November, so it was pretty cold and we cannot attest to how many bugs may be there in the summer, nor if it is very busy during the regular season. Franky, we only stayed here because it was the only reasonable place still open this late, though we were very happy with what we found. We booked the site on hipcamp.com
