Some of the most caring people I have ever met. They truly care about the best well-being for any animal within Hawkins County and beyond. Sandy, you’re positivity and care for the animals is infectious and you are by far the most inspirational person I have ever met. You’ve influenced me more than anyone over the past 7 years, and I will forever be grateful.

You said they aren't adopted out sick! Then you need to check with the workers. There was a sick cat that was not quarantined away from others. They WERE allowing the cats that were right with that one to be adopted.nnI understand that it is an old building. But there is no excuse for the filth I witnessed.nnIf I knew a way to report your place I would!nnSHAME ON YOU!!!!nnWorst place I have ever been to. It reeked. Animals were being adopted out even though there were sick animals not quarantined away from healthy ones.

I have to explain that the girl who showed us around was very nice, friendly, and helpful. However the entire facility reeked of urine. It is an animal shelter. However it is not necessary to have such a strong odor. The animals are in poor shape and some are in poor conditions. The place is probably difficult to keep clean due to having been converted into a shelter from an old house. I hope these folks get some help. Maybe a new facility. I'm very sad to see a place that's trying to do good overlooked for the needs to do what needs done.

They NEED hard-working volunteers, cleaning supplies, food, blankets, litter, and money! I'm not sure people realize that a no-kill animal shelter heavily depends on foster homes, volunteers, food, litter and money from the surrounding communities. If everyone in the surrounding area gave $1-$5, they could build on extra space and care for all the fur babies without so much stress.

I took a dog home from here back in August 2020 and I have not been able to get in contact with the place since. I have been reaching out to get adoption papers and the mailbox is full eveytime I call. They claimed to have someone 24hours on Facebook and I have not gotten any replies for months on that as well.
