Hiked up several times. Camped up there a few times. Belayed off of it some. Beautiful view!
Endless nature with ample space for miscellaneous outdoor leisure and exploration. Beach areas, boating and fishing. Look for wildlife including bald eagles, bears and bigfoot! Bigfoot!!!
Lots of down trees but the trail is clear. It is mostly up hill going to the bluff. The trail is supposed to loop, but the loop part is grown up to the point that people just go in and come out the same way.
My favorite place to hike. Been coming here since I was a youth. Not expert level going, but if you have issues climbing hills.... might not be for you. Wear good shoes. Watch for snakes in different seasons. The path does frequent spots along the Tennessee river. I've almost always seen a snake or two every time I've been here. Peaceful and worth enjoying once you sit on top the bluff. Best view of the Tennessee River.
