Very small quaint lunch dinner place. It is not far at all from the Lake Murray Lodge/Cabins and the food is so good. We ate there several days while staying up at the cabins. It seriously was home cooking. I didn't have one complaint about the meals. Portions a great and so are the owners who are a delightful couple. I highly recommend their chicken fried steak meal! Loved it so much had it twice as so did my husband!! We also had their burgers. My husband had the Deluxe with extra patty and I the Hickory BBQ burger custom made to order. Both great portions and delicious! And just went you don't think you can put any more in you see those delightful delicious homemade desserts. Husband had the pecan pie with ice cream and I the chocolate cheesecake. It was beyond yummy. We also had the brownies with pecans and ice cream another day. Did I mention how good this place was? Seriously it is a must stop place!! Prices are mildly high but honestly it is so worth it. I don't mind paying for good food and good service. So rare to find! And find we did. And this was definitely good comfort food after a hard trip for the February 2021 snow ice storm that hit Texas that left us with no power or heat for days it was a welcome place. Nothing says your enjoying a little piece of home with home cooking!
Had the hickory burger for lunch today and it was so good. Hearty and full of flavor. Exactly what I've been craving. And the homemade brownie was as good as my mama used to make. Try it, you'll like it
Food was absolutely awesome!! Loved being on the patio to relax and eat. Everything they brought out was fresh and comforting. Super sweet staff!! The sweet treats are an amazing touch at the end of it all!! Great job!!
Wonderful little hidden place on your way to the Lodge at Lake Murray right next to the Minnow Bucket. They serve burgers, fries, catfish, chicken wings, etc. The poblano soup was fantastic and our favorite! The owner also makes wonderful homemade desserts. It has plenty of indoor seating and even an outdoor patio that's lit at night.
Amazing 5 star food in an offbeat little place on the road to Lake Murray with deck dining under the treesnI couldn't believe the food,I ate so much because I wanted to trynEverything..the quiche, cheese pablano soup, catfish,crab cakesnIncredible..cookies oh man so delicious.
