My daughter has been at Alpha gymnastics for for almost 6 years. We started in the parent and tot class when she was 2 and she immediately loved it. She has had several coaches over the years that have all taught her something special. We have grown to love everybody at Alpha Gymnastics. There’s always good communication, friendly staff, and my daughter is always learning new skills. Alpha is an amazing place to start gymnastics and always room to grow!!!

Our daughter is in her eighth year at Alpha, and it was the best decision we could’ve made when choosing a gym. They’ve always kept her best interest in mind while coaching her in a safe, positive, and encouraging environment. We feel confident in knowing that she’s in the best hands and love watching her grow as a gymnast!!

If your looking for an unfriendly anti disabilities place for gymnastics this is the place for you! If your not looking for that I’d like to share my experience. My daughter 2 1/2 is severely developmentally delayed. Her PT recommend gymnastics to encourage her to walk. We signed up for the mommy and me class. My first impression wasn’t good. We weren’t greeted, didn’t know where to go. I was overwhelmed by the parents congregating everywhere especially during a pandemic. A few parents weren’t wearing masks. I was shocked about the scenenunfolding as their online policies seemed very strict about sanitation and safely. The instructors weren’t wearing masks either. I finally asked a girl where we were supposed to go and she wasn’t sure. She and another instructor then disagreed about who was taking which children for classes. Finally they got started and I felt the expectations of a class who’s starting age is 18 months was a bit unrealistic, not fun for my toddler, and not developmentally delayed friendly. The instructor rolled her eyes at us a few times and seemed like she didn’t want to be there at all. I spoke to a different girl addressed my concerns. She assured me they could work with her and make us comfortable and that if the instructor knows prior to the night of class a child is in the class with needs they can make accommodations. I signed up with hopes for fairness for disabilities and deeply regret it. As the night went on I was more bothered about the course of events and was feeling uneasy. I contacted Karis after sign up about my concerns regarding my child’s special needs and issues even asked about paying for a private evaluation. She said she was out of town and would be there next week and that they would make it an amazing experience for us.nI expected things to go a lot better but they didn’t. Next week came. Still unmasked staff and parents. I guess you can’t enforce it if you aren’t doing it yourself. I noticed another new parent not greeted standing their awkwardly for several minutes finally asked where their child was supposed to go and they were exposed to the same unsure discussion among the staff while they just stood there. Eventually classes began and one instructor said the other new student could just come in her group. Our group began and even tho they knew a week in advance my daughter was returning, the class style didn’t adapt to her needs and felt like we were just their floundering with a young instructor who has an eye rolling problem. Very unorganized and unfriendly for ages 4 and under. The other age groups seem to be more of a focus which is understandable bc those kids are old enough to compete and take it more seriously but those of us paying for a fun opportunity for young kids just to get them exposed to something new it’s not clearly not met with the same amount of effort and professionalism. After talking to our PT she said if it’s miserable we shouldn’t continue. Upon leaving that conversation I contacted the studio to let them know we wouldn’t be retuning and hoped to explain why. I called and had to leave a voicemail. I was texted back within seconds which wasn’t what I expected but was asked if I wanted to explore private lessons and that they have an occupational therapist on staff if we change our mind. I thought to myself where was that last week when you knew we were coming? No one, after talking to 4 different people who work there, mentioned they have a therapist there until today. I never got a response about private opportunities when I asked 2 weeks ago about them. I never met Karis in person. I don’t think new students are more than incoming money and maybe eventually you might be a blimp on the radar or worthy of getting a proper introduction. Super disappointed that kids with disabilities are not accommodated. Also, they don’t do partial refunds if your disabled child isn’t a good fit to continue the classes.nNice large facility is the best thing I can say.

We traveled to this meet today from over 2hrs away for my daughter. She had a wonderful time at the meet. She loved the awards that were given out and getting to dress up in a team costume since it was the zoo review! There were so many cute leos for sale I bought one for her & one to take home for my optional level gymnast. I also loved how the photographer got some great shots of my daughter and the pictures were very affordable. Thanks so much for hosting this meet!

Alpha Gymnastics owner and coaches focus totally on providing a fun, safe, and learning experience for each child enrolled. This sport is not only about being able to master the skills, but learning about discipline needed to succeed in gymnastics and in life. I am a public school teacher and have seen how this sport instills in children a love for competition, determination, loyalty, and teamwork. I have also been a parent of a gymnast. I have watched my child develop an instant love for this sport which involved a lot of hard work, sweat, and yes.....sometimes tears! Gymnastics is not for every child but Alpha Gymnastics will offer equal time and opportunity to every child who wants to try the sport!
