Bada Bean Coffee & Things

Stopped by here today to get a cup of coffee and slice of Broccoli Cheddar quiche. I love the coffee and the quiche was delish (owner has it shipped from Italy).nnThey also have free wifi (for paying customers) which was nice since my internet has been down for 3 days in my neighborhood.nnI really like the cozy feel and decor of this shop. There are also fun specialty items for sale. I really liked that I could get some work done in a very private space in the back of the cafe.

Worst bubble tea I have ever had. Should have been called gravel tea.nnBatista was very nice.

The person who took my order was really nice... but it took about 10+ minutes to get a strawberry boba, and there was only one person in front of me who had ordered iced coffee. I’ve only been one time, so I can’t speak for the quality of their other beverages, but the boba was disappointing.nnI’m no boba tea expert, but you wouldn’t have to be to know that the drink was not good. There were grains in the bottom of the drink that looked like undissolved sugar. The large amount ice made the amount of the drink significantly smaller that it should have been for the price.nnThe tapioca pearls had an old and borderline rancid taste, and a very rubbery texture.nnAlso the actual milk tea part did not taste significantly like strawberries. I was expecting the artificial flavor and I would have been fine with it, but it was very watered down and the only thing that let me know it was strawberry was the pink color.nnI hate spreading any kind of negativity, but I just wanted to put this out there for anyone else like me, so that they don’t make the same mistake. Also, If this store changes the way they make boba, please let me know!!! I was very excited that there was a store close to me that sold it, because if I enjoyed the drink I’d be sure to return and bring others who I know enjoy this drink as well.
