Beautiful building and facility. Friendly staff. Easy access. What's not to like!
Top notch airport, great for both new and seasoned pilots. The location is convenient to CLT and GSO, immaculate runways, very professional and accommodating air traffic controllers and the most gorgeous FBO in NC. Stop in and check it out, call ahead to use the courtesy vehicle to enjoy lunch.
With all due respect Mr. William, your review make zero sense. However, what I can tell you: this airport is fantastic from a pilots perspective. One of my favorite things to do as a younger pilot was to fly out to Stanly and watch the Air Force C130s practice low altitude passes and simulated cargo drops. Stanly County is lucky to have such an immaculate and well kept facility. For student pilots: this is great place to earn your controlled airspace certification. It’s generally quite and you get to work with highly trained Air Force controllers. Highly recommend this airport.
This airport need to be a working station to take people to Charlotte Douglas and we can transfer from there to our destination bring some civilization to stanly county there no transportation here population here is growing with a more diverse community.
