It was nice to get out of the house ud83cudfe1 on such a pretty day and what a great place to do it. They was a few other people out enjoying the day but it wasn't crowded at all. The park was well kept which is always good to see. It's also a good place to take your dogs for a walk.

Bunker Hill Covered Bridge was a pleasant experience. The drive to get there took us down some nice country roads. We found several good locations from which to take pictures, however a word of warning to those that try: be wary of the eroded creek banks that can collapse. There's a fence for this reason, so use caution when stepping outside of it.

Nice covered Bridge in a good sized park. The stream that the bridge is over seems to be causing quite a bit of erosion which is what I'm guessing has lead to all the fencing and reinforcements underneath the bridge. The graffiti was disappointing... Some interesting history on Hampton Truss bridges as well.

Nice place to go for a short walk on a beautiful day. We go through the week because there are very few people around. Our dog loves it!

This is a beautiful old fashioned covered Bridge. It's about 500 ft. down a flat trail. At first I thought we were going the wrong way because after walking a few minutes I still couldn't find it but it was covered with a little vegetation growing to the left trying to cover it up. But it was there and it was awesome on the inside. It's put together with huge trusses. It even had flat boards added where the wagon wheels would go across so it wouldn't be so rough getting across.nWhile we were there we were greeted by an older gentleman who said his name was Allen. He asked where we were from and how did we find out about the Bridge. He seemed to know a lot about the Bridge and even got a little irritated when I said there was another covered Bridge in NC. He was quick to tell me that IT wasn't made the same and I agreed. So... if you get a chance to go see this lovely bridge please tell Allen I remembered him in my prayers as he said he would do for me.
