I’ve eaten Ethiopian food since I was a wee lad in Connecticut. It’s my favorite cuisine. When I moved to the DMV, I was so excited to see such a vibrant Ethiopian presence. And so many restaurants. BUT NOTHING COMPARES TO SHEBA. The best. Hands down.
Loved our takeout vegan platter and sample of the injera crisps!! High quality food, very low in oil, really tasty. Adding Sheba to our list of favorite restaurants to get take out from, and hopefully we will be able to dine in soon!
BEST GLUTEN-FREE DESSERTS!nFor my birthday, I tried their gluten-free chocolate cake made with teff flour. It is the most delicious cake I have had in years—since I went gluten free. The cake is moist with a deep chocolate flavor and a silky crumb. It has none of the shortcomings that are usual in gluten-free cake. They also have gluten-free tiramisu, which I haven’t tried yet, but if it is anything like the chocolate cake, it will be amazing.
