Overall great park and a beautiful lake. I’ll break my review into categories. “Parking”- plenty of parking spots and lots at this park. I would suggest parking at the first lot to the left of main park direction sign because it’s the biggest. It’s a gravel parking lot. They do have a couple other smaller lots and even roadside parking. I’m impressed with the parking options compared with other dc area parks. “Bathrooms” - it was closed. Maybe due to covid or park policy not sure. Before sure you handle your business before venturing to this park. “Trails” - My friend and I did the main trail closest to the lake for the excellent water view. It was an easy hike on that is 90% dirt trail and the other is concrete/gravel. Plenty of space for people to go in both directions on the trails. “Activities/Other” - I saw a volleyball court, picnic tables, kayaking spot, huge grass field for anything and plenty of park benches to chill and take it all in. I would definitely recommend to go on a hike at this beautiful and peaceful work. It seems to be great for families, dog owners, and really anyone! I’ll be back for sure!

Great park, had a family picnic there this past weekend. The addresses on the different picnic parking lots made it easy for people to find the site we were at. The grill size is great! Loved the volleyball courts. Lake looks phenomenal and cant wait to come back to walk around it.

This has a hike. A bit crowded because it’s so well known. The trail around the lake is longer than you’d think because it stretches around the fingers of the lake on the north side. The dam is pretty, and you can hike to the bottom on the south side to see the part of Rock Creek that flows out of the lake.

This is a great place to walk, connect with nature and enjoy the outdoors. There are good trails for cycling and running too. Rock Creek Park is a bird watchers paradise.
