Wanted fish and finally decided to give Oyster Cafe a shot. I won't be going back there. It was a waste of $75.nnI had the salmon. I love salmon and this was the worst I've ever had. It was extremely dry and pretty much tasteless. My wife had the grouper and said it was basically the same. The Oyster Special appetizer was mediocre, but had so little taste I might as well have just ordered basic oysters on the half shell.nnMy kids had a burger and a Philly steak. No complaints from them. I tried the Philly and it was fairly good. Their french fries were tasteless though.nnOn a bright note, the baked potato I had with my salmon was cooked perfectly and I enjoyed it. I'm sure the house salads would have been nice too, but they left those out of my order after charging me an extra $4 for them.nnHonestly, I think I'd rather just go to Long John Silver's. It's cheaper and taste better.

Really nice inside. Food was good... I got oysters and scallops which were really good but a little more breading than I prefer... easy to take off though. A little pricey but overall really good. Would definitely eat here again

This awesome eatery is 25 or so miles from my home and worth every mile to get their signature oysters. Closed on Monday's, any other day will afford any diner, plates full of fried ( never greasy) oysters, shrimp, catfish, french fries, the best coleslaw, hush puppies, and other regionally recognized seafood items. I can't rave enough about their oysters. They are always presoaked in milk, dredged in their proprietary blend of flours, these plump large bivalves are fried to an exact minute in the exact oil temperature each and every time to produce the best oyster I have ever eaten. I couldn't understand why anyone would get shrimp until I tried them. Boy howdy!! They were also treated like the oysters. And their catfish too, which you can order as a whole fish or filet. At this time. the restaurant is practicing spacing diners more than 6 feet apart and providing individual dished of condiments if you want them. Nothing on the tables. Handicap accessible, and a deal for lunch. Just do it! You can thank me later.

Fantastic fried oysters and hushpuppies. My friend had the seafood platter excellent portions and it was delicious. Definitely going to be a regular location for me.
