It is an adventure being here! It is off the beaten path which is my favorite place to be. There is at least one crock in the pond so be aware and smart. But the park and shower house are nice. There is two washer and dryers in the shower house it is similar to one you would have at home. I think their is two or three different shower houses. Luckily every time we go over they are never busy. The laundry cost 2.50 to do one load so less expensive than other ones. And it is like a gated community we really enjoy it. This is the spot to come and relax. Every one has been so nice. People enjoy riding bikes around here so if you have one bring it along. We enjoy it so much we decided to stay a bit longer than we planned. We have went by others in the area and trust me this is the one you want to be at clean and spacious quite. Even when fully booked it's nice and calm.

This county park is one of the nicest RV Parks we've stayed in. The sites are all padded, very spacious, and very well maintained. You are located on the Okeechobee Trail just on the south rim of the lake. The park has multiple playgrounds, fishing pond, and other amenities. The bike trail/hiking path on the Levee is an excellent outdoor adventure. The workers are friendly and courteous. We stayed here in a 45' fifth wheel and did not even need to unhook the truck. There are sites near the road, which we were in, that do have road noise. However, you cannot see the road because of the treeline. We are not bothered by road noise, so it wasn't an issue.

Bottom line: I would NOT recommend this location for tent camping. RV camping is moderate, but would be tolerable if stopping for a night.nnCons: The tent camping area is located next to a busy highway. Not sure why they put tent campers closest to the highway, especially since it’s just an area of grass (solely grass next to a drainage ditch with no pads or site designation)?! As for RV’s (my parents were there staying in their RV), road noise is still heard inside at a moderate level at all times of the day/night. Mosquitoes were manageable in February, but still too many at dusk/evening to be outside.nnPros:The campground is very well laid out, paved, spacious RV sites, very clean bathrooms/showers, and appeared safe and well kept.

Depends on what you're looking for here. Fun location, clean level sites. Great price. But road noise is annoying and detracts from your experience. Love being next to LOST, Lake Okeechobee Scenic Trail. Great for biking.
