Amazing space. Gargantuan Cottonwoods worth talking to. Fresh air when Montano traffic isn’t carried over by the wind (obviously worst 7:30 am to 9:30 am and 3:45 to 7 p.m give or take, when the wind is blowing to the North). Muddy (not preventable) after a good rain. Occasionally, the farmers over shoot their fertilizer onto the roads, where it gets stuck to my could be service animals paws, that they then lick. There is a very strange aroma around the Elm thickets on the west side of the park (community garden side, not by the garden though), that gives me pause, and causes me some concern that it might be a poison or toxic substance of some kind (but could be natural I suppose; I never hang around those spots too long). Occasionally some really rude people can be found walking their dog here who adamantly refuse to acknowledge your greeting (a couple with a dog they like to let swim), and occasionally you feel judged by people who clearly are not taking in the surroundings but are there to judge others. Occasionally there are dogs off leash, mostly near or after sundown. Occasionally tractors kick up mad dust, that you have no other choice but to breath and get showered in. All in all a very much worth it excursion. Well used, but well maintained.

A great place to walk, watch wild cranes and see the seasons change. You see people riding horses or walking their dogs as you Circle the fields.
